ISO14000

The aim of an environmental management system is to record, evaluate and continuously improve or at least comply with the specific environmental impacts and the environmental regulations that are relevant for the company. The continuous improvement process is based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method.
As an international standard, ISO 14001:2015 offers the structure and the framework (as a possible instrument in addition to the EMAS regulation).

Many companies are familiar with key performance indicators (KPIs). Thus, these figures often serve a cost / profit analysis and other business aspects. In the future, the new ISO 14001:2015 requires companies to identify and develop key performance indicators for resource-intensive areas such as production and logistics. The goal: Companies should systematically improve their environmental performance on the basis of these key figures and evaluations. Also for the products that a company creates, key figures should be developed where this makes sense.

The set of indicators, which we have developed for the Umweltdaten-Tool in cooperation with the Federal Environment Agency Austria (Umweltbundesamt), supports you in the company-wide development of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015.
